Le Petit Prince
“Le Petit Prince is a magical, strange, odd, illogical, philosophical and melancholy. It speaks of friendship, loss, love, and death. The choreographer and I wanted somewhere that could transform in the same way, but most importantly somewhere that represented the journey of the characters in the outer space of the story and also the inner space of the characters.”

Wozzeck
“Wozzeck – The director and I were searching for a way to release Wozzeck from a specific political and social reference point. We wanted to find a metaphor for the cruelty at the centre of the story of Wozzeck free from time and place. The story of Wozzeck is not particular to the time it was written. It;s a universal story that is not period specific, repeating itself from one generation to the next on many levels of society. We began to look at Punch and Judy and the violence and movement language in these children’s puppet shows felt close to the storytelling and music in Wozzeck. The design is an exploration of that world.”
